At Eaton Park Academy, we are proud to foster a culture of kindness, respect, and responsibility. We believe that positive relationships are the foundation of a successful learning environment, and we are committed to supporting every child to thrive — both academically and socially.
We follow a relational approach to behaviour, which means we focus on building strong, trusting relationships between pupils and staff. This helps children feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. Our approach is rooted in empathy, consistency, and high expectations.
We are currently working with the Relational Approach in Education (RAiE) project, which supports schools in reducing exclusions and improving pupil wellbeing.
Pupils are recognised for showing positive behaviours and attitudes that reflect our MASTER values and the wider ethos of Eaton Park Academy. These behaviours are celebrated in class, during assemblies, and across the school day. As part of our rewards system, children earn positive green points on Arbor, which reflect their contributions to our school community and help reinforce the importance of kindness, respect, and responsibility.
Some of the reasons children may be recognised include:
Moral – doing the right thing, even when no one is watching
Adaptable – responding positively to change
Successful – achieving personal or academic goals
Thoughtful – showing care and consideration for others
Enthusiastic – showing energy and passion for learning
Respectful – treating others with kindness and fairness
1K A Day – showing commitment to daily exercise
Excellent Piece of Work – producing high-quality outcomes
Outstanding Achievement – going above and beyond expectations
Each recognition contributes to a child’s overall reward total and helps reinforce the values we want to see in every member of our school community.
We value the partnership between home and school. Parents can support our behaviour approach by:
If you have any questions about our behaviour approach or would like support with behaviour at home, please speak to your child’s class teacher or contact the school office.
Eaton Park Academy has been at the heart of our community for many years.
Our ambitious curriculum is shaped around the pupils and the community in which we serve.
